Well cover me in lemon juice and roll me off the plate, it’s pancake day again. If you haven’t flipped any tasty pan-based, two dimensional treats today yet then you’d batter hurry up and get cooking.
Especially if you’re going to try and compete with the following five fantastic flat feasts we’ve found.
1. Ninento Pancakes
“Pancake Dad” (Nathan Shields) creates incredibly detailed pancakes for his kids to eat. One of his latest creations features some iconic Nintendo characters.

2. The Crepe Cake
This is one massive stack of pancake wonderment with caramelised biscuit spread and raspberries. Check out the recipe at Lakeland.

3. Ryan Gosling’s Pancake Face
Here’s one for the ladies of Ryan Goslings mug in pancake form. Go on, give him some sugar.

4. ABB Robotics Pancake Machine
Food company, Honeytop had this robot installed to help speed up the stacking of pancakes on their production line. There’s never been a better use for robot technology.
5. Russian King Pancake

The pancake itself isn’t very impressive but the perseverance of these Russian folks certainly is. The folks of Yalutorovsk have been trying to make a giant pancake for over 6 years now and haven’t had a lemony whiff of success to date.
Well that’s successfully made me hungry. Which pancake impresses you most? Let us know in the comments and have a shuper shrove tuesday.
Bye for now!

My top 5 favourite Christmas Stocking Gifts
- December 7th, 2012 by mandy|

Over the last couple of weeks we’ve had loads of new items arriving in our warehouse ready for the big Christmas rush. Today I thought I’d share with you my top 5 favourite new products which are perfect as stocking filler gifts.
At first glance the Applingz is just another super soft cuddy toy. However insert your iPhone, download the app and they become an interactive friend that responds to touch, sound and motion. The Applingz will keep sons, daughters, nephews entertained for hours plus your phone will be nice and safe as the toy acts as a protective case.
The ideal gift for any Star Wars fans out there, a pizza cutter that makes R2D2 sounds when you use it!! Not just a novelty gift this little droid has a sharp cutting blade (which can be removed for washing) which actually works really well!
Everyone loves novelty sock (well I do) and this year everyone has been going silly over these novelty socks. The sneaker socks have been made to resemble the popular converse shoes and are available in three colours, blue, red and pink.
MOTD Mug Theme Tune Mug – £8.95
Who doesn’t know a football fanatic that always glued to the TV either watching a game or Match Of The Day? I definitely do! And they are going to get one of these mugs, this novelty mug play the MOTD theme tune every time the mug is picked up, yes that is EVERY TIME so choose carefully who you want to give this gift to!
Lastly we have the sneaker pencil case. Again another item made to resemble converse shoes however these cases are super realistic. The upper is made of canvas material and you have to untie the laces before you can undo the zip and put your stuff in them. They come in 6 vibrant colours, purple being my favourite and can be used as a case for anything, not just pens and pencils.
I hope you like my top 5! Have a great weekend.

New Star Wars lines now in stock!

I’ve just met you and this is crazy but I’ve got an awesome Star Wars iPhone case so call me maybe?
If you haven’t seen the incredibly geeky and painstakingly edited Star Wars cover of Carly Rae Jepsen’s brain-hijacking pop single yet, you must have been living in the stomach of a Sarlacc for the past month. It’s ridiculous but it’s also Star Warsy so therefore it’s cool. Check it out:
And it just so happens that if CRJ does fancy giving me a call (which she is very welcome to do), I’ll probably be answering it using my force-tastic Stormtrooper iPhone case, here it is alongside the R2 version. In’t it neat?
They’re brand new in stock alongside some other cool new Star Wars lines, including the ‘Off the Wall’ alarm clock. Built to resemble Luke’s lightsaber training module, the clock requires a small wallop against your bedroom wall in the morning in order to turn off the alarm. This act of chucking something through the air is a great way to stir oneself from slumber of a morning and the clock looks awesome too.
And finally, there’s no need to strain yourself trying to use the force to open your bottled pop or lager. Use your lightsaber instead, or more accurately, this lightsaber bottle opener with proper sound effects and everything. Nice. Plus there’s plenty more where all this came from in our Star Wars category.
